Knife, Wenoka Squeeze Lock Knife
The Wenoka Squeeze Lock Knife is the first kayak or raft guide safety knife that doesn't need to be modified to make it work for wearing on a PFD with confidence that it won't fall/break off, and the knife has all the right features.
The sheath is made of "unbreakable" plastic, and once installed, it will not fall off or break off the accessory lash tab on your life jacket (you can even lock it in place with the stainless steel screw provided). Or you can clip the sheath to your belt if you prefer. The most unique feature is that it takes two opposing forces to release the knife from the sheath (which is as simple as squeezing your hand around the grip when you want to release the knife). Note the two yellow guards on the handle which both have hooks that lock the knife into the sheath unless you squeeze both of them at the same time. This design virtually prevents the knife from falling out of the sheath accidentally when something presses on or pulls on it (as in during re-entry rescues).
The knife is made of 304 "stainless steel", and features a 3" blade with a blunt tip for prying or using as a screw driver, one straight edge and one serrated edge (for sawing through rope etc.), and a line cutting hook for safety (in case of getting caught in fishing lines, nets, etc.). The yellow highlights make it easy to find if you leave it lying around the lunch stop. - serrated.
