Reservation, Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

A 50% deposit and a signed Participant Agreement and Liability Release form are required to enroll/make a reservation.

The same policies apply to cancellations and requests to reschedule, both of which make extra work and stress for us.

The nature of our semi-private lessons and trips makes it difficult for us to accommodate changes, no matter how early notification is given. So please do all you can to make your original reservation work. If you request to cancel or reschedule, the following policies are in effect:

If you Cancel or Reschedule your reservation 60 or more days before your lesson or trip begins, your reservation will be refunded in full less $800 cancellation/reschedule fee per student for the Exposed Training Course, $200 cancellation/reschedule fee per student for the 5-Day Training Course, $100 cancellation/reschedule fee per student for all other courses.
If you Cancel or Reschedule your reservation between 60 and 10 days before your lesson or trip begins, you will be refunded in full less the cancellation/reschedule fee, less 30% of your tuition -- unless the lesson refills completely, in which case we will refund all but the cancellation/reschedule fee (cancellation/reschedule fee $800 per student Exposed Coast Training Course, $200 5-day Training Course per student, $100 all other Courses per student).

If you Cancel or Reschedule your reservation less than 10 days before the lesson or trip, no-show, or cancel during the reserved lesson dates -- no refund or credit will be given.

If at any time the Kayak Academy cancels a lesson, a full refund will be made.
