Guided Sea Kayak Tours

We currently offer the following schedule of one-day guided sea kayak tours using both one and two-person sea kayaks. We also specialize in custom Private Trips for small groups, click here for information on our Private Guided Trips

All of the following guided day-trips meet at Bowman Bay, Washington (1 mile north of the Deception Pass Bridge, near Anacortes, Washington).

This introductory training tour starts in the protection of Bowman Bay which faces the San Juan Islands and is home to eagles, an abundance of waterfowl and marine life. Outside the bay you'll find islands, sea caves and cliff-lined headlands to explore while watching for the seals and porpoise that frequent these waters. Guide/instructors will help you learn to improve the efficiency of your paddling technique and begin learning to navigate with a chart.

The ability to swim and some kayak experience is necessary. If you want to use a one-person kayak, take our Paddle Strokes and Rescue Techniques course or other qualified course that includes rescue practice first. Those without prior experience will be asked to practice a capsize and wet-exit at the start of the trip.

We provide the kayaks (one and two-person composite sea kayaks, paddles, life jackets, dry bags, for clothes, etc.), charts, and Gore-tex dry suits so your paddling will be comfortable no matter what the weather. All for only $99.00 Pack a lunch and join us!
