Two new River Kayaking Intro courses! We've redesigned our Cross Training for Sea Kayakers and turned it into two new river kayaking courses. Part 1 is all new with lower prerequisites and easier runs. Part 2 prepares you for paddling with friends and clubs. Follow the "Kayak Lessons" tab to "Course List" to find SK 120/RK 120 and SK 206/RK 206.

New Carbon Fiber 3-piece Greenland Paddles by Northernlight are here!
Northernlight's new Greenland and Aleut style paddles were the hit of this summer's NW Paddling Fest. If you missed that event you can come test them at our next Wednesday Night Skills or Demo Nights from 6:00pm-7:30pm (see programs below). Three piece paddles fit in luggage with no extra charges from airlines, and the center loom comes in any length you want from storm paddle size on up in one inch increments to 24.5". The Greenland model comes with a free storm paddle center loom so you get both a standard paddle and a storm paddle for the price of one. If you have kayak safety training and a roof rack, you may arrange to pick up a demo kayak at our shop and test it on L. Sammamish during business hours. Call us to make arrangements

Valley Sea Kayaks
Kayak Academy is proud to announce that we are now an authorized dealer for Valley kayaks, and we are also a Regional Valley Demo Center which means we have loads of VCP sea kayaks available to test paddle. Valley is the oldest Brit style sea kayak manufacturer, but they've made lots of updates to their materials and ergonomics - these aren't your father's Valley kayaks.
