Sea Kayak Accident Reports
As many of you know, I (George Gronseth) write the safety column for Sea Kayaker magazine. These articles typically contain a report on a sea kayaking accident that I have investigated, the lessons learned by those involved, and my analysis along with suggestions for avoiding such problems. I write these articles with the hope that those who read them will learn from the mistakes of others and so avoid repeating them.
You can help in this effort by sending information on accidents you hear about, clippings from newspapers, and sharing your own personal close calls. Whenever possible, I use the leads I get to contact those involved and ask for their cooperation.
