Sea Kayak 207 - Adventurous Journey, Island Circumnavigation (Cypress or Shaw Island)
There's something about sea kayaking all the way around an island that gives you a real feeling of accomplishment. Regardless of its size, you'll probably never forget your first island circumnavigation by kayak. This one-day circumnavigation of Cypress or Shaw Island (in the San Juan Islands) makes a good intro to practical kayak navigation while giving you some hands-on experience at paddling through waves, crossing eddy lines, and reading moving water. You'll also practice predicting tides and currents and kayak trip planning.

Kayak Rental: $25.00 plus tax, delivered to the lesson. (Includes kayak, spray-skirt, PFD, bilge pump, paddle float, and paddle)

Prerequisites: SK 111 plus prior trip experience (with approval) or higher level course (or equivalent with approval). Kayak wheels required for Shaw Island circumnavigation.
