Rental Kayaks And Kayaking Equipment Rentals

At the Kayak Academy we spoil our renters by providing them with the same high quality gear that we ourselves like to use. In addition to kayaks, we also rent wet suits (included free with kayak rental package), dry suits, neoprene booties, kayak helmets, tents, sleeping bags, and more. Rental gear may be picked up a day in advance and returned up to a day after your trip with no extra charge. However, with the exception of our sit-on-top kayaks, you must take or already have safety training before we will rent a kayak to you. Dry Suit and Wet Suit Rentals

We rent (and sell) Kokatat brand Gore-Tex dry suits in men's and woman's sizes. The dry suit rental fee is $35.00 first day and $25.00/day for extra days; special rates for extended rentals. You may use up to $150.00 of your dry suit rental fees as a credit toward purchasing a new dry suit from us until the end of the calendar year, December 31. We rent neoprene farmer john wet suits in men's and woman's sizes The first day's wet suit rental fee for wet suits is $15.00, each additional day is $10.00

Sea Kayak Rentals

Our sea kayak rental packages are the most complete packages we know of. We include free use of wet suit farmer john bibs, PFD (life jackets) with whistle attached, paddle with tether/leash, spare paddle, spray skirt (full neoprene or neoprene/nylon combination - not the cheap nylon type), dry bags for clothes & sleeping bags, bilge pump with pump float, and a self-rescue paddle float. Our one-person sea kayak rental fleet specializes in state-of-the-art rudder-free fiberglass and roto-molded sea kayaks from Wilderness Systems, Impex, and Sterling Kayaks. For two-person sea kayaks we offer WS Northstar and Eddyline Wisper doubles (both with a rudder).

Single Kayaks: $60 for the first day ($25 during our lessons), $35 for each additional day.
Double Kayaks:$85 for the first day ($50 during our lessons), $45 for each additional day
Winter kayak rentals from $350.00 Mid Oct. - Late March

Sit On-Top kayaks

Our sit-on-top kayak rental packages include PFD's (life jackets) with whistle attached and a paddle. We have sit-on-top kayaks by Feel Free Kayaks, Wilderness Systems, and Ocean Kayaks; all our SOT kayaks feature a self-bailing design.

Sit On-Top Kayaks: $50/day. (FeelFree Nomad SOT for surf kayaking, Wilderness Systems Ride 135 for kayak fishing, Ocean Kayaks Yahoo for rivers)
