The Kokatat Hydrus 3.0 Meridian Dry Suit (river kayaking drysuit) w/ Relief Zipper and Hydrus 3.0 fabric Dry Socks has features similar to Kokatat's best river kayaking dry suit, the GoreTex Pro Meridian, but at a lower price thanks to Kokatat's waterproof / breathable 3-layer Hydrus 3.0 fabric. From our private testing of waterproof/breathable dry suits, Kokatat's Hydrus 3.0 dry suits are second only to Kokatat's own Gore-Tex® dry suits.

Note: we stock Meridian suits with custom sized dry-socks so you can have a choice of Medium or Large socks on an XL size suit. These custom suits are the same price as the standard suits and you can order them here by selecting the sock size from the menu.

Detailed Description

The defining features of all versions of Kokatat's Meridian dry suits are an "overskirt" (to sandwich your spray-skirt like the double tunnel on a dry-top) to keep your kayak drier while rolling or paddling in waves, a front entry zipper that runs diagonally across the chest of the suit making it easy to get in and out of (as opposed to dry suits with rear-entry shoulder zippers that require teamwork to get in and out of without breaking the zipper), and a flap that covers the front entry zipper. The men's Hydrus 3.0 Meridian drysuit comes standard with a Relief Zipper (for speed and convenience when nature calls), latex neck and wrist gaskets with "punch-through" neoprene gasket protectors, 3-layer Hydrus 3.0 breathable  Dry Socks with neoprene ankle cuffs with adjustable "hook & loop" tab closures to keep gravel out of your booties, and a self-draining, zippered chest pocket with a key lanyard loop inside.

The punch-through neck and wrist covers create a double seal while eliminating any scratchy/sticky Velcro® around your neck and wrists.

Kokatat has four sizes of dry-socks, but they use the Medium size sock (for shoe size 9 - 11) on all but their Small and XXL size suits. We find a lot of men who wear an XL sized suit need the Large sock (for shoe size 11.5 to 15). So on our best selling dry suits like the Meridian we stock suits with custom sized socks so you can have a choice of Medium or Large dry-socks on an XL size suit. These custom suits are the same price as the standard suits and you can order them here by selecting the sock size from the menu. Another reason to buy your dry suit from K.A.

The chest is measured around the fullest part of your chest. Stand relaxed and breath normally while taking this measurement.

Based on the user's height and weight, we need more information to guarantee proper drysuit fit. Please use a cloth tape measure or a long string and ruler to collect the following measurements.

This is measured around the widest portion of lower torso, found between where you would wear a belt and your sternum.

The user's shoe size might be too big/small for the standard dry sock on this dry suit. Note for some suit sizes we offer a choice of sock size in the menu above.

If you are interested in purchasing a suit with a different size sock, or have any sizing questions, please give us a call.

This is the larger measurement between where a belt would rest and your natural waist (natural waist is where the narrowest part is, above the hip, and where your torso bends when bending sideways)

Take this measurement from the side to ensure the correct placement of the tape. Place the tape around the hips and across the widest part of the buttocks. Make sure that all pockets are empty.

The sleeve is measured as follows: Hold arm directly out to the side, parallel to the floor, palm down. Bend the elbow forward, stop hand in front of nose. Place the cloth measureing tape at the base of the neck, starting at the spine. Make sure that the start of the tape is at the same height as the elbow. Run tape along the arm, turn at the elbow, measuring to the wrist bone.

The inseam is measured from crotch to ankle bone. DO NOT USE YOUR PANT INSEAM! That is too long of a measurement.
