Kokatat Hydrus 3.0 Swift Entry dry suit w/ Relief Zipper and Dry Socks has features similar to the popular Kokatat GoreTex Legacy but at a much lower price thanks to Kokatat's waterproof/breathable 3-layer Hydrus 3.0 fabric.

Note: we stock Swift Entry suits with custom sized socks so you can have a choice of Medium or Large dry-socks on Large and XL size suits. These custom suits are the same price as the standard suits and you can order them here by selecting the sock size from the menu.

Description

The Swift Entry Dry Suit is good for sea kayaking, rafting, canoeing, and fishing. The main differences between this suit and a Kokatat Gore-Tex® drysuit are in the rate of "breathability" (Gore-Tex® dry suits are still the most breathable, but the Hydrus Three.Zero fabric is right up there with the best of the rest) and the durability (again nothing else compares to a Kokatat Gore-Tex® dry suit for waterproof/breathable durability). The Gore-Tex® suits also have a neoprene collar over the neck gasket which the Swift Entry suits do not have. The collar adds a bit of warmth and keeps some of the sun's UV rays off the latex neck gasket which helps the neck gasket last longer. So if you sweat more than most people or are an active paddler who is going to wear your dry suit once or twice a week most of the year, you'll come out ahead by starting with a Gore-Tex® dry suit, but for the average paddler the Hydrus 3.0 Swift Entry dry suit is darn good.

Kokatat has four sizes of dry-socks, but they use the Medium size sock (for shoe size 9 - 11) on all but their Small and XXL size suits. We find a lot of men who wear a size Large suit and most who wear a size XL need the Large sock (for shoe size 11.5 to 15). So on our best selling dry suits like the Swift Entry suit we stock them with custom sized socks so you can have a choice of Medium or Large dry-socks on Large and XL size suits. These custom suits are the same price as the standard suits and you can order them here by selecting the sock size from the menu. Another reason to buy your dry suit from K.A.

The chest is measured around the fullest part of your chest. Stand relaxed and breath normally while taking this measurement.

Based on the user's height and weight, we need more information to guarantee proper drysuit fit. Please use a cloth tape measure or a long string and ruler to collect the following measurements.

This is measured around the widest portion of lower torso, found between where you would wear a belt and your sternum.

The user's shoe size might be too big/small for the standard dry sock on this dry suit. Note for some suit sizes we offer a choice of sock size in the menu above.

If you are interested in purchasing a suit with a different size sock, or have any sizing questions, please give us a call.

This is the larger measurement between where a belt would rest and your natural waist (natural waist is where the narrowest part is, above the hip, and where your torso bends when bending sideways)

Take this measurement from the side to ensure the correct placement of the tape. Place the tape around the hips and across the widest part of the buttocks. Make sure that all pockets are empty.

The sleeve is measured as follows: Hold arm directly out to the side, parallel to the floor, palm down. Bend the elbow forward, stop hand in front of nose. Place the cloth measureing tape at the base of the neck, starting at the spine. Make sure that the start of the tape is at the same height as the elbow. Run tape along the arm, turn at the elbow, measuring to the wrist bone.

The inseam is measured from crotch to ankle bone. DO NOT USE YOUR PANT INSEAM! That is too long of a measurement.
