Description

The Kokatat SurfSkin Bill Cap is an extremely popular piece of headwear for sea kayaking and sailing. It combines the versatility of a skull cap with a short bill to keep the sun and rain out of your eyes. The Kokatat Bill Cap is made of Kokatat's SurfSkin fabric which is a warm, soft, fuzzy, super stretchy, water and wind-proof rubber-coated fleece (aka fuzzy rubber).

The Surfskin Bill Cap is perfect for insulating your head for kayak rolling and rescue practice as well as for winter trips and paddling in rain. The Bill Cap packs down small enough to stuff in a pocket on the front of your PFD when not needed. Thanks to the super stretchy SurfSkin fabric, the Bill Cap's built-in chin strap doesn't need any scratchy adjuster buckles. We loan these caps to our kayak students for lessons, and most of them come back to buy one. Unfortunately, they have been discontinued but we have a few left!

Headwear tip: When practicing in really cold water, we wear the SurfSkin Bill Cap under a Kokatat Balaclava. Two caps are better than one, and having both styles gives you more options on trips.
