Peanut Cart by Paddle Boy/Seattle Sports is an economical and easy to use end cart for kayaks. It's best for one-person kayaks on day trips where you don't need to take the wheels with you on the water. If you have to take the cart in your kayak, it will fit in most kayaks with an oval rear hatch, but it won't leave much room for anything else or strap the frame on rear deck. The Peanut cart's frame folds like scissors and like most kayak carts the wheels come off by pulling the ring on the keeper pins at the ends of the axles (no tools required); just be careful not to loose the axle pins after removing the wheels (it's best to reinsert the pins in the axles for storage). The flat-free hard rubber tires can handle crushed gravel and roll well on pavement and dirt, but not so well on grass.

End carts, like the Peanut, are quicker and easier to use than center carts. Center carts can be frustrating to use because you have to lift the kayak onto the cart without knocking the cart over or getting it twisted under the kayak, and then you have to strap it down well or the kayak falls off while you are under way. With an end cart like the Peanut you simply lift one end of your kayak, slide the end of the kayak through the cart's frame set the kayak down and hook the bungee cord to the kayak's cockpit and your are good to go. However, with and end cart you still have to lift half the weight of your kayak while rolling it to the beach. So if you have to wheel your kayak a long way or wheel your kayak full of camping gear, a center cart is best, but for moving an empty kayak a short distance to and from the beach you can't beat the speed and ease of using an end cart.
