River Kayaking 206, River Kayak Trips: Part 2

Description

The rough water practice that Class II+ through III- white water offers will speed up your learning curve for developing a higher level of bracing skill and provide opportunities for combat roll experience. The skills gained from this whitewater kayaking course lead you to becoming a safer, more confident kayaker.

To assure you receive plenty of individual instruction, we limit our class size to a maximum of five students.

We'll review bracing and rolling and extend your safety knowledge to include river hazards and some basic river rescue skills. You will get two days of hands-on white water kayaking experience including running a Class II+ rapids (rivers are classified I to VI in ascending order of difficulty).

Prerequisites for this course are a reliable roll (at least on one side in practice situations) and reasonably confident kayaking class II rapids. If you need to work on these skills, see our RK 120 River Kayak Training Trips Part 1 and Kayak Rolling RK103 and 203 courses.
